Coilplus is one the most trusted names in flat rolled steel processing in North America. As part of the global network of Metal One, owned by Mitsubishi and Sojitz Corporations, the Coilplus companies enjoy a unique position in North America for steel processing companies with high quality, critical application products; the most modern steel processing equipment; motivated and dedicated associates; and strategically located plants to service our customers on a regional basis.

Starting in 1985 with a single greenfield facility in Athens, Alabama, Coilplus has grown to an impressive nine plants located throughout the United States and a sister company, Nicometals, in Mexico.

Coilplus embarked on an aggressive greenfield expansion campaign building three additional facilities in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas. Through acquisition Coilplus added facilities in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and North Carolina.

With consolidation taking place in the global steel marketplace, Mitsubishi Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation merged their steel investments in 2003 forming a new company, Metal One. Through the Metal One merger another company was added to Coilpus: Coilplus Berwick (formerly Berwick Steel Company) in Ohio along with sister company Nicometals in Mexico.
